A right through the park gate onto the Coast Path for the more intrepid explorer will take you firstly through Sharkham nature reserve and on a good day a great place to spot the local Peregrine Falcons, from here you continue in about 1km to St Mary’s Bay (Mudstone) which has approx 500 m of sand, shingle and rock.

THE GOOD LIFE

Further on from here the serious walker will eventually find Kingswear after about 9km, taking in stunning Coves and waterfalls and a host of places to view the diverse vegetation, avian species and cetaceans.

This becomes very rugged and often undulating so should only be attempted by the serious walker with correct footwear and wet/cold weather gear.
